Indonesian nurses are better!

if you think Indonesia is a total loser in this free global market era… read this!..
if you are fascinated by series like E.R thinking how cool their doctors are…. then read this
Just last week i went to a doctor -a specialist and not jsut some general practicioner- to check some health. The clinique is good and well situated in one of important parts of this city. so the clinic needed my blood sample for examination.
Guess what??? it was one of the most-pain-in-the-neck blood taking example i have gone through! i mean hey… i am not a doctor but i have undergone a lot of blood taking procedures before… never have i come to this style! the nurse inserted the needle horizontal to my blood veine of my righ arm???! duhhhh… is it a new invention… please enlight me. so it left a mark for around two days.

Two months before, my wife went to a different doctor and had to have blood examination at another good and well-paid clinic. guess what??? the nurses had to take it from 3 i repeat THREE points of blood vein…. and still could not pull it through…. aduh please dech! Finally they had to recourse to the doctor… and she managed it quite well. my wife was already terrified after 1st and 2nd failed attempts! can you imagine what it is like to have the forth shot?

But wait, that is not just it…. some years ago in Canberra, Australia (that is a continent country right below Indonesia, Southeast Asia… jsut in case you dont know :D ), a very good friend, or should i say in australian style: mate, of mine had to give his blood samples too. and you know what? this is even worse… the nurse pushed in the needle and moved it around whise it is still inside just to get the blood out!!! ach bloody painful experience that must be…

so what about in Indonesia? almost all nurses can well take blood samples even while talking or chatting or something without PAIN! i cannot recall any experience back home where i had such problems… please note: they are not as well paid as their colleagues in the ‘developed’ world! my only guess is indonesian nurses are more experienced because they have to do things without the help of advanced devices. also, they have to deal with more patients than their colleagues. I do not have any statistic at the moment but i guess the ratio of nurse to patient much be extremely small in Indonesia than in the ‘developed’ world.
so they can maximise their skills as they interact with patients.
so … be grateful for experienced Indonesian nurses and do not let the film industry fool you!

P.S.
does this apply to the case of doctors too??

  5. u r rite, mate!
and Indonesian nurses are much pretier too, much younger as well. So while they put the needle gently under our skin, with a highly qualified skill they have, we can enjoy their beautiful looks…and I guess, in some part, those hypnotizing looks have played their roles in mitigating the pain.
In addition to the story, Indonesian nurses are undoubtly Indonesian skilled workers that have potential market in some developed countries.
